Addition polymerization :
A polymer formed by direct addition of repeated monomer molecules possessing double or triple bond, without the elimination of any small molecule is called addition polymerization.
Example: polythene, PVC, etc.
Mechanism of free radical addition is completed in three parts :
(1) Chain intiating step :
(2) Chain ipropagating step :
(3) Chain terminating step :
