Distance covered by first train when it stops $\frac{50 \times 5}{2} = 200 m$
distance covered by second train in frst 8 seconds.
$60 \times 8 - \frac{1}{2} \times 6 \times 8^{2} = 288$
separation = 600 – (200 + 288) = 112
