Benzene more volatile than toluene
Hence from figure
Statement (C) is correct        Xtoluene = 0.7 and Ytoluene = 0.4
                                      ⇒     Xbenzene = 0.3 and Ytoluene = 0.4

Statement (D) is correct    because Xbenzene = 0.7 {Ybenzene > 0.7}
                                     ⇒     Ytoluene necessarily < 0.3

Statement (A) incorrect :     absurb  : because D option is correct
Statement (B)        :             Xtoluene = 0.3    ⇒ Xbenzene  = 0.7
                                   ⇒      Ybenzene must be > 0.7
