Let    y = mx

2m21+m2=4m1+m2

∴   2m – 2 = ± 4m
∴   m = – 1    or    m = 1/3


Also slope of AB = – 1
Hence there can be two lines ℓ1 and ℓ2 through origin with slopes 1/3 and – 1 which are equidistant from (2, 2) and (4, 0)
