The photochemical smog refers to the smog which contains a high concentration of NOx,  ozone and other volatile compounds. The photochemical smog contains highly reactive species like NOx, hydrocarbons and ozone which can produce reactive radicals on reaction with sunlight. This cause destruction of the chlorophyll pigments, blazing and bleaching of the leaves and other parts of the plants.
