In the straight wire A, current is flowing in the vertically downward direction whereas in wire B the current is flowing in the vertically upwards direction. What is the direction of magnetic field around the wire A and wire B?

Solution
Around the wire A, the direction of magnetic field will be in clockwise direction whereas around the wire B, the magnetic field will be in anti-clockwise direction.
We have used Maxwell's right hand thumb rule here to determine the direction of magnetic field.
