Question

A 2 kg toy car can move along an x axis. Graph shows force Fx, acting on the car which begins to rest at time t = 0. The velocity of the car at t = 10 s is :

i^m/s

13  i^m/s

6.5i^m/s

1.5i^m/s

given equation = mass of toy car = 2 kg
at t = 10 s.
Formula needed to solve the question.
F orce = mass × acceleration
velocity = acceleration × time

F=ma;a=vtF=m×vt

⇒ × × v

impulse (area under the graph gives impulse)

 velocity = impulse  mass  area moles the graph  mass

area under the graph upto 10(s)

12×8×4-12×1×2-(1×2)

⇒ 16 – 1 – 2 = 13

 velocity = area under the graph  mass =132=6.5 m/s
